Day 05 | SEPTEMBER 15, 2021

Good evening Friends, major correction today is day 5! Sorry .

Today Charlie had no scheduled surgery, but they did two small procedures to move some tubes around , all went well.

Happy Mom

She remains stable and that is all we can ask for at this time .

Today she was extra sleepy, they changed some of her meds and she was a little tired, yet she opened her eyes when I arrived , and a few times during our visit.

I am spending a good amount of time getting to know her nurses , doctors and staff, they are a great group of people and professionals.

Several of the doctors and nurses said that patients with a strong support system are the ones that go home! So Thank you for all your love and support!!

As you may know by now , we are Catholic and today a Priest came to give Charlie the anointing of the sick a sacrament. Charlie was able to open her eyes to the Priest and her heart rate did elevate a little , I know how much she appreciated that, and this will give her soul the strength and comfort needed to continue this incredible fight. Coincidentally today we celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.

I talked with her surgeon today, he remains optimistic, he said the fact that she is young and strong and overall healthy is a huge plus for her ! ( thank you one fit mother :)), tomorrow she will undergo surgery and they will move her mouth tube and will replace it with a Tracheotomy, this will allow her to be less sedated and able to communicate in a few days .

And that brings us to your next project. I got permission to have a board with a collage of pictures for Charlie, I am wondering who in here is really crafty like Charlie was ? That could do an incredible collage of pictures of our boys, family and YOU her friends! Let me know and I will be glad to provide you with a lot of pictures for this board.

I also want to thank you for all the amazing support and love ! The playdates pick up and Julien Morning stroll are so helpful!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

God bless you !

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
