Day 33 | OCTOBER 13, 2021

Good Evening Friends, today is day 33 of our new and amazing life.

It was a very good day!

Toda for the first time, I was able to speak in front of a camera to talk about Charlie without crying. Jerry Miller was very kind to offer me his platform to tell Charlie’s Story. Thank you for watching live, if you missed it there is a link to the group.

When I arrived at the hospital a little later and Charlie was awake:), today around 11am, Charlie was able to text me and ask, are you coming?

I called her on FaceTime and she picked me up. She really wants me there earlier in the day, so I decided that I will start coming to visit her in the morning , the earliest I can come in is 8am. Charlie was very happy to hear that .

Charlie asked me why it took me so long to get there , well I told her I had more work to do and I also did the Jerry Miller show, and she smiled and said, I really want to see this interview, she did and she loved every single minute of it.

She appreciate how open and honest I was about our journey, she also really appreciated Jerry’s genuine interest in her story, she said she is also very humbled and grateful for all the incredible love and support towards her and our family, she did cry on the part that I talked about her being away from our boys. But she really enjoyed the interview. I was nervous since some of the topics we discussed on the show, I have avoided talking to her about it, like how scared and fearful I was in the beginning, but to my surprise, she took it very well.

Today was extra good, because during her OT session, she was able to stand up !! Of course with help, but she was able to stand on her feet !!

That is so amazing! Her doctors told me that it would be very hard if not impossible for her to stand on her feet! That was said to me 22 days ago!!

Even her Doctor could not believe that she was able to stand on her feet! He asked her , how painful was it ? She told him, it did hurt a little, but I really want to walk again.

He was absolutely surprised , and very excited for her ! He said, You are ahead of the curve Charlie ! He also said, I now can really see how strong you really are!

Just amazing!! For the short time I know Dr. Feldman, I can say he is a man of very few complements:).

I am beyond grateful today, I am grateful for our wonderful community, grateful for our friends, grateful for my family and Charlie’s family, I am grateful for Charlie’s life and her incredible recovery. We are witnessing a real life miracle, I am humbled to be part of it.

When I started my research about burn victims right after the accident, I had a very difficult time in finding information on cases with 85% of Body burns, and the very feeling that I found, had very scary statistics and very long hospital stays. To now see how well Charlie is recovering, I can only say it is due to the power of prayer , your prayers, and the grace of God.

Charlie told me today, I have been praying a lot and I think now I am starting to see my prayers being answered, that statement gave me so much hope!

I am going to bed now , very excited to wake early tomorrow and be at the hospital right at 8am.

Thank you for your continued support, Love and prayers!

“When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.”

May God Bless You!

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
