Day 12 | SEPTEMBER 22, 2021

Good Evening Friends, day 12 of our new life!

Today, Charlie underwent her 11th surgery, her Surgeon Dr.Drake was very pleased and actually impressed with her healing at this point, they checked her body for any signs of infection and as of today none were found ! Thank you God!

Charlie's recovery is just starting but it has been a good start.

They once again warned me to remain cautious due to the ups and downs nature of her recovery, I do remain cautious but as a man of faith, I do ask God to protect her from any and all infections!

Charlie received a new bed today, one with an air mat to help to keep her dry and improve her blood flow, she needs it due to the burns in her back and buttocks.

I would like to share something about Charlie, since I met her 14 years ago, and since we have been married for 13 years, I don’t ever remember her complaining about her pain. She was diagnosed with RA at age 17 months, so she knows pain all her life! And it is no different now, even though I can’t even fathom the idea of her current pain, she has not complained once! I don’t have words to explain how incredible this is for me, the ability to suffer in silence is something reserved for incredible souls and Charlie is an incredible human being and soul! I can confidently say that my love for her has grown and shifted since the accident. I feel like my love now is almost a form of devotion, I have accepted this new role that has been assigned to me in our new life! I am devoted to taking care of my beautiful wife and soul mate and our two adorable little boys.

Now I more than appreciate her role as a mom, the 3 am feedings, getting the kids ready in the morning, all this is so hard for me, I can’t describe how lonely it feels to wake up at 3am to feed baby Julien, and to open my eyes and see her side of our bed empty.

I know my wife will come home ! God has preserved her life for a reason and out of our darkness there will be light!

I am still in shock for your generosity and love and support! Thank you.

May God Bless you and Good Night !

André Xavier

Day 731 | September 11, 2023

Hello friends, I intended to post this yesterday, but I could not do so. Here it is: Two years ago, life as we knew it ceased to exist; today is a day of mixed emotions, lots of gratitude but also ang

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
