Day 02 | SEPTEMBER 12, 2021

Hello Friends ,

I have no words to thank you for this beautiful and supportive group! Charlie will be so happy to see the love you have for her.

I am so grateful for all of you , thank you for reaching out. We know how amazing and strong Charlie is and she will come home !

I am still in shock and I am scared. I am praying that God gives me the strength to fulfill this new role that he has assigned to me. I accept, I just don’t know how I am going to do it .

I will try to give you updates as often as I can.

Today’s update on 9/11 is that Charlie’s first surgery was a success! She remained stable and the doctors were able to do everything that they had planned for and they even started the first round of skin grafts, the doctors are amazed at how strong Charlie is . She is now in her room, I am waiting a little while until she wakes up from the general anesthesia. I will be with her for a few hours this late afternoon into the evening.

Please forgive my reluctance to accept your generous offers of help. I know that I need help and I will do better asking for it. It is just too overwhelming right now .

I can’t thank you enough for the meal train, it is of huge help! Thank you! My mother and I are both allergic to fish and seafood:( .

I want to try to keep the boys routine as normal as possible in the meantime, so yes, play dates are welcome and I will take you up on that.

Please reach out to me directly if needed .

Thank you,

André Xavier

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
