Day 76 | NOVEMBER 25, 2021

Good Evening Friends, today is day 76 of our new and amazing life!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Today is a mixed feelings day, but I decided to focus on the positive things and I have so many things to be grateful for.

Let me start by thanking God for saving my wife’s life! This is the single most important miracle/ Gift I could ever ask for. Today I cherish Charlie’s life ! I am also so grateful for her rescuers, medical team, our friends, the thousands of folks that have prayed, sent cards and donated to support Charlie and our family!

I am grateful for Charlie’s local friends, you know who you are, your generosity and kindness towards my family has made this journey tolerable, I will never be able to thank you enough for all you have done and continue to do for my family! Today we received the most amazing spread of delicious thanksgiving food! Thank you!

I am grateful for my mother! I am so happy to have her here with me ! She has been the safe harbor that I came home to every night, thank you for her selfless dedication to raise my boys on Charlie’s absence, your love , your guidance, your ability to wake up at 2am and rock Julien back to sleep until 4am, and wake up for a full day at 7am full of energy! I have no idea how you do it! I am just beyond grateful to have you here with us.

I am grateful for my two sisters and my brothers in law, your love and support has been amazing, In particular to Marianna and Giuliano that came as soon as you could to be here and help us! Your selfless action, of stopping your life and rushing into my aid is something beyond generous, I am forever grateful for all your help !

As you can see I have so much to be grateful for. I am here with Charlie for a few hours and I am having Thanksgiving dinner with my family. This will be our first thanksgiving dinner without Charlie , and hopefully the last for a very long time !

Today Charlie was more awake and she was placed on her chair for 3 hours , so we talked about Thanksgiving, and I told her how grateful I am for her life and I asked her what she was grateful for and she said, to be alive ! It makes me so happy to hear Charlie say how grateful she is to be alive !

I am also grateful for all of your kindness, love and support!

Now it is my turn to ask that very question, what are you grateful for ? Please allow yourself to be vulnerable and go beyond the easy things to be grateful for , go one layer deep and share with us , what are you grateful for this thanksgiving .

Thank you and May God Bless You .

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
