Day 47 | OCTOBER 27, 2021
Good evening friends, today is day 47 of our new and amazing life !
After an incredible day yesterday, today my heart was still full of gratitude for the first responders.
Today I arrived at the hospital around 2pm, and Charlie was already finished with her air drying time and she was awake and in good spirits.
Charlie was doing very well today and she was actually smiling more than I recall in other visits, she asked me about our boys and I showed her several videos and pictures of them, I could see in her eyes how much she is missing her boys and I could also see a little bit of sadness for not being able to touch or be with them, but I tried to keep spirits up and reminded her that she is healing so well that she will be home sooner than what is expected, and how special will be the moments with the boys at our house.
Shortly after we finished talking, Charlie told me that she wanted to watch a good tv series, so we landed on You on Netflix, since we had watched it in the past, so the new season is out and we started to watch it, once again the level of normalcy watching tv with her brings me is just incredible!
She really enjoyed the show. We ended up watching 3 episodes before Charlie fell asleep. I stopped the show and went over to her, caressed her forehead and hair, and gave her a good night kiss. It was almost 6pm.
I decided to leave a little earlier than usual so I could be home to put London into bed, read a book.
Earlier today Charlie told her nurse to call me and tell me to not come to visit her. She wanted me to take a day off and to stay and spend time with the boys. I told the nurse that would not happen and I would be there in the afternoon.
I totally understand what Charlie is thinking, she wants to make sure our boys are well taken care of , but that is her being selfless and forgetting that I am the only visitor to her, Her and I talked today and she now understands my schedule and that I do spend time with the boys in the morning, just Charlie being the amazing mom that she is.
Well, there Is not much to report today in terms of Charlie’s health, beside the usual that she is doing well, Thank you God!
I will take advantage of this early night and get some rest.
