Day 440 | NOVEMBER 24, 2022

Good evening, friends. Today is 11/24/2022 in our new and grateful life.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

This holiday season is extra special to us; as you may remember, Charlie was at the ICU last year, fighting for her life.

Today is a day to give thanks, but it is essential to practice gratitude daily; yes, you must practice gratitude.

I have so much to be grateful for, my list goes on and on, and of course, the number one on that list is Charli; her survival is nothing short of a miracle, and her recovery is an inspiration to me.

Today at our meal, I read my last year’s journal entry, and I could feel all the emotions I had when I wrote that; the fear and frustration were tangible but also the gratitude; I am now more confident than ever that being grateful it is a powerful tool to overcome any difficulty.

I was in charge of our meal today, and we ended up with a decent spread but nothing even close to the food Charlie used to make, luckily Charlie was able to make two of her dishes, and they were the best

I will end tonight’s entry with the same ending I had one year ago, and I kindly ask you to open up your heart.

Now it is my turn to ask, what are you grateful for? Please allow yourself to be vulnerable and go beyond the easy things to be thankful for. Go one layer deep and share with us what you are grateful for this Thanksgiving.

Thank you for all your support and generosity toward us.

May God Bless You!

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
