Day 44 | OCTOBER 24, 2021

Good Evening Friends, today is day 44 of our new and amazing new life.

Today was a good day!

Sunday as usual is still a day that I miss Charlie the most, we go to church and after we usually would go for brunch but since the accident, I have only been able to go to mass and no brunch after, I do pray that one day we will have this routine back in our family.

So after Church with my mom and the boys, we went home for a delicious lunch and after lunch I made my way to the hospital.

I arrived around 3:30pm and Charlie was awake, today her pain was much better and under control, she did very well on her air drying time and did a total of 4:30hs, so a very good day for her CEA! Charlie remains stable and is doing well, Thank God!

Charlie was very talkative today and off course she asked for pictures and videos of the boys from the Halloween event yesterday, she loved to see her boys in costumes and really enjoyed seeing the videos, we also talked about our business, she asked me how was everything doing, and she finally asked me and her nurse for a detailed explanation of her CEA and the plans for Tuesday, Charlie loves to be aware of what is happening, so she was made very aware of everything and was very pleased with the explanation.

After talking for almost 2 hours, Charlie asked to take a nap. It was a short one, maybe 40minutes. Once she woke up, I asked her if she would like to watch a movie together, like a date night . She said yes and I suggested a comedy, and we watched a cute and funny movie on Disney +. It was a great distraction for her and time went by so fast!

I am so grateful for our visit today, it felt so normal! I really like the fact that we talked, she rested and we watched a movie together.

Overall Charlie remains doing well, now we wait for Tuesday, that is when her doctor will order her new batch of CEA skin. I am very grateful and hopeful for this coming week!

Thank you for your support and prayers, I feel recharged after attending Mass and receiving communion, It is food for my soul. I also prayed for God to give Charlie extra patience and hope.

Have a blessed night.

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
