Day 375 | SEPTEMBER 20, 2022

Good evening, friends. Today is 9/20/22 in our new and grateful life.

We are having a fantastic time! London and I have safely arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Charlie stayed home with Julien.

Charlie is taking this time to reinforce her bond with baby Julien, and since London and I are away, he has all his attention on his mommy.

I have the opportunity to bond and show London his Brazilian heritage, and we are having a good time!

It is great to be back with my family; it has been over two years since I visited Brazil.

Charlie is enjoying her time with her friends, and they are helping us with childcare when our nanny is off.

Her first laser appointment went very well; Charlie said the pain was mild. She described it as a rubber band sting! No doubt about her pain tolerance

We are hopeful that in 5 or 6 applications, she will improve her neck range of motion.

Charlie continues to work hard with PT and OT; we are waiting for her RA biological meds to take effect.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be in Brazil with my family; it is so good to thank them in person for all their support.

It is priceless to see London experience all that Brazil has to offer, the fantastic food, fruit varieties, the kindness and authenticity of our people, and the insane traffic of São Paulo; he sees firsthand the need to be Street smart in a big city.

He is practicing his Portuguese and can carry on a basic conversation with strangers; I am so proud of him!

He enjoys daily café com leite, fresh pão francês from the bakery, rice and beans, and twice-a-day showers.

Life in the tropics is very different from life in the US; I believe it is vital for our boys to experience life in Brazil; that way, they can appreciate and understand how blessed we are.

I want to thank you for your support of my book, and I kindly ask you to post your review of the book on Amazon.

We are continuing to be grateful; please continue to pray for us, Charlie still has a very long road ahead in her recovery, and we need your prayers and support.

May God Bless You.

André

Day 731 | September 11, 2023

Hello friends, I intended to post this yesterday, but I could not do so. Here it is: Two years ago, life as we knew it ceased to exist; today is a day of mixed emotions, lots of gratitude but also ang

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
