Day 36 | OCTOBER 16, 2021
Good evening Friends, today is day 36 of our new and amazing life!
Today, I went to the hospital around 11 am. When I got there Charlie was asleep.
I quietly entered her room, and stood next to her bed , shortly after she opened her eyes and smiled when she saw me
I greeted her and I went on to tell her how beautiful she looked today, she told me how much she is missing the boys, and I showed her some videos of pictures from this morning.
Today for the first time in 35 days, Charlie complained of pain and did ask for more pain meds, I guess even superheroes can have a not so great day , of course Charlie can have more meds said her nurse.
Yesterday's surgery was a long one and they replaced all the allografts on her back, that was the cause of her pain today. It really made me sad to know she is in a lot of pain.
Few hours after my arrival, it was time for her to be moved to the recliner chair. Even though Charlie was in pain, she agreed on the chair, since it is part of her OT, and helps her breathing and mobility.
Today's visit was one of the quietest one, we didn’t talk much. I asked her if she wanted to watch a movie to help her be distracted from the pain, she agreed and we watched The Holiday movie , with Cameron Diaz. She seemed to enjoy the movie.
I also talked with her briefly about our house modifications, yes! It is about to start , since in reality her discharge date to rehab, and the time to be home is not that far away, I must start this process very soon !
Now we are just counting the hours until Tuesday! The big day for Charlie !
I also showed her the shirt campaign and she was very happy to see that over 100 shirts have been sold in 1 day! Thank you!! We still have a long way to 1k, but I have no doubt You can get us there ! She asked me to order a pink long sleeve one , she really liked the light house design!!
I am just so grateful for your generosity and support!
Thank you,
May God Bless You,
André
