Day 269 | JUNE 06, 2022
Good evening, Friends, today is day 269 of our new and amazing life!
Today was a very special day!
As we all know, today is Charlie’s birthday!!
It is a very special birthday, and we are so grateful to have her with us at home for her special day. It is truly a miracle to have her with us!
The day started with London up and early, around 5:30am, after telling him to read some books we finally made our way downstairs to see the birthday girl.
She looked beautiful! Charlie got all dressed up today and did her make up, and headed out with her girlfriends for her birthday lunch at South and Central in Charlottesville.
She had a fantastic time with her friends and I am so glad that she was able to have her celebration with some of her closest friends!
While Charlie was at Lunch, a lot was happening!
To start, the Pre-sale of my book (from now on, I will refer to the book as mine, since Charlie is going to be writing her own book, it is better to avoid confusion down the road), per mutual agreement between me and Charlie, the moment the sale went live! You guys didn’t disappoint!
Thank you so much for your incredible support, because of your generosity and quick response, I almost Lost her is now seating at the number 1 new release and number 3 best seller on the personal growth category, Amazon kindle store this is all you, by purchasing the book, you made it a bestseller on day 1!
I was not expecting such a response, and we are so grateful for your support!
I hope that you had a chance to read the first chapter, please share your review and thoughts in the comments below, and let me know if you would be interested in a live conversation with me about the first chapter. If we have enough interest, I would schedule such an event for the following week.
While the book was being sold, my mom had started in the kitchen the day production of the best Brazilian birthday food! Yes, there is such a thing!
My mom made brigadeiros, these sweet treats are made of, condensed milk, chocolate and butter, rolled in colorful sprinkles or chocolate sprinkles, and one of the hardest savory treats to make, Coxinha was also on today’s menu, these savory treats, is made of potatoes and flour dough, filled with shredded chicken, and breaded and then deep fried, they are Charlie’s favorite fried treat from Brazil.
They are absolutely delicious, but very labor intensive to make, so I helped my mom with the cooking and I am so glad that I did because now, I know how to make this very difficult but delicious dough.
Today there was no big celebration at home, just a very low key, just us, enjoyment of a few treats, cupcakes and some laughs. It was a nice little celebration of Charlie's 36th birthday! That was Charlie’s request.
I do feel bad that my gift to her didn’t arrive today as planned, but Charlie understood and hopefully her gift will arrive tomorrow.
I do want to let you know that I will need to make a change to my writing schedule, Starting next week, I will be posting twice a week, I am looking into what days will be best, I have realized that I must focus more of my time at home, since Charlie’s return home, I haven’t been the amazing husband I thought that I was, I am actually resembling my old “bad husband “ persona, and to avoid this kind back into our lives , I will have to refocus and do better with the boys and Charlie.
I am sure I will miss our daily entries, but I think a bi weekly journal can also have its benefits.
I also need to really focus on finishing the book, since so many of you have purchased it, and it will be published on September 10th, 2022! And there will be an in-person book signing event!
I just want to become the better version of myself that has been transformed during this incredible journey, I need to be the husband and father that Charlie and my boys need and deserve, and to do that, I need to really focus on them.
Please do not worry, you will continue to hear everything about our family and the blessings and challenges ahead of us.
I am looking forward to hearing all about your impressions of the first chapter!
And let me know if you want to ask me live, all your questions about this first chapter!
Have a good night and May God bless You!
André
