Day 253 | MAY 21, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 253 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day.

I had an early start, the construction crew starts early, by 7am they are here.

We continue to make great progress and I am confident that we will finish it on time.

I took advantage of my time today and worked hard in preparing things for Charlie arrival, today I put together the medical cabinet and the cart for her wound care supplies, if you know me, I am not handy at all, but since the beginning of this journey, I am now able to do a lot of things that before I didn’t even think about it and for that I am grateful.

Charlie and I talked via video today for a long time, she got to watch London and Julien playing with each other. She enjoyed it so much!

We also had a serious talk about her future medical care, and I love how brave and intelligent she is about her own care. We have a plan that Charlie will discuss with her surgeon on her next appointment.

Since my mom is not feeling too good the last few days, she has fibromyalgia, so Charlie asked me to stay and help with the boys, and I had such a good time, we played for hours and was great to see how much Julien is progressing, London is such a sweet brother.

Julien, please slow down, we need you to stay a little toddler a little long for mommy 🙂.

I also spend some time looking at the Au Pairs profiles, tomorrow I have two interviews lined up.

Charlie told me that she worked hard with PT, and she also worked in perfecting her standing on her wheelchair.

Well, today was my first dry run in my new routine, once Charlie is back home, I will be the responsible for the boys’ dinner, bath and bedtime, I am looking forward for this new chapter, I will also be responsible for our meals, today I started to collect recipes for meals prep, that is going to be an incredible change for me, but I am very happy to be able to provide my best to my family.

I am sorry if today’s post was mostly about me, but as We get closer to bringing Charlie home, I am having to get a lot of things done.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

May God Bless You!

André

Hello friends, I intended to post this yesterday, but I could not do so. Here it is: Two years ago, life as we knew it ceased to exist; today is a day of mixed emotions, lots of gratitude but also ang

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
