Day 246 | MAY 14, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 246 of our new and amazing new life!

Today was a blessed day.

This morning I went to the DMV, to register our minivan, and request the Handicap tags and the placard, I was able to secure the placard, but for the handicap tags I will need to return with a form with Charlie’s signature, and then we can have both the tags and placard, the way to get both is to have the disable person on the title page f the vehicle. Just learned something new today and I am grateful for the DMV staff for taking the time to explain it to me, it is not every day, you can say Thank you DMV 🙂

After couple hours there, I left to Patch, it was great to see the place busy, and it is also so nice to see how many people follow our journey, and everyone is so kind when approaching me to chat, I am so appreciative of your kindness and support, please be sure to say hello if you see me around town, I really enjoy meeting you in person.

On my way to SAI, to see Charlie, I asked her if she wanted anything from Walmart, I wanted to make a stop there to replenish Charlie’s peanut M&M jar, so she did as for some Tate's cookies and for couple games for the boys, she will play with them tomorrow, but the best part about the toys, is that Charlie will also benefit from them, they are designed to help with the fine motor skills, tomorrow we will play, Operation and Mrs. Potato Head 🙂

Charlie had a laid-back day, with just OT, she is enjoying picking the last decorations to be placed in her room, and she is very excited to be coming home so soon!

Our visit today was also low-key. We chatted for a few minutes about my training next week, I am trained in wound care and PT, so I will be spending a few hours learning next week and the following, and watching some TV.

Tomorrow, I am bringing the boys to visit with Charlie, we are hoping for good weather!

Tonight, let’s continue to Pray for little Lucy and now let’s add Little Jack. He is also at UVA, and just had heart surgery, let’s all ask God for a speedy recovery for both of these kids.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

May God bless You!

André

Hello friends, I intended to post this yesterday, but I could not do so. Here it is: Two years ago, life as we knew it ceased to exist; today is a day of mixed emotions, lots of gratitude but also ang

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
