Day 241 | MAY 09, 2022
Good evening, Friends, today is day 241 of our amazing and new life!
Today was a good day!
I started my day early at 6:30am, ready to make this Monday a good one!
Early on I had my first meeting, with our book editor, and today she delivered the 20k edited part of the book, we now have 13 chapters ready and 89 pages, now the story has taken shape and is absolutely incredible to read our journey in a book format, it is very different from the Journal, it is more intense, and I am able to share details never posted here before, to say that we are excited on how this is coming out is an understatement.
Charlie did call to see the boys during breakfast and she looked beautiful, London was so excited to see mommy, after their incredible conversation yesterday, and baby Julien just keeps getting cuter and cuter by the day.
After meeting with our incredible Construction team, today I picked the bathroom tiles, and learned about a Virginia State tax credit for remodeling your home to accommodate a disable person. I will share more details once I learn more about this program, but it is real and will help with the insane cost of the modifications.
After lunch I made my way to see Charlie, and right before I left Charlie texted me and asked for me to bring more of her coffee drink, she was out of it.
When I arrived, Charlie had just finished her wound care, and she was resting.
We had a pleasant visit and Charlie was in very good spirits, she was excited for me to read her the new chapters of the book.
Charlie told me that today she achieved a new record, she was able to stand on her chair for 1:25h, this is the longest she was able to stand at once, she is making great progress on her ability to stand, her wheelchair is an incredible piece of technology and we are so grateful to have access to that technology.
Charlie also played Indoor Bocce today, off course she won the match 🙂
Today, I would like to ask you to please pray for a very special little girl named Lucy, she underwent a heart transplant today. Let's all pray for God’s healing hands to help this child and her family at this very important surgery. Lucy's parents are locals here in Charlottesville, I don’t personally know them, but I have heard of the incredible struggles they have endured, so tonight let’s pray and ask God to comfort their family.
Thank you and May God bless you for your generosity!
Have a good night.
André
