Day 236 | MAY 04, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 236 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day, we continue to make good progress on the house modifications.

Charlie and I had a great visit today. We met outside for the first half of our visit and we really enjoyed the warm breeze, we played a game that Charlie really enjoyed at her OT sessions. It was fun to compete with Charlie, she is very competitive:), and of course she won!

Today Charlie had an appointment with her burn doctor and her rehab doctor, they discussed the treatment of her open wounds, and they also discussed the possibility of her having to return to the burn unit to re graft some her spots, but for now she is ok, but we know in the future she will have to endure surgery once again.

We also talked about the book, we are so excited to have decided on the book title, we are getting close to the pre-sale.

Charlie had a good day with her PT and OT, she was able to stand and balance out her wheelchair standing position for 20 minutes, she is doing so well in reversing her foot drop.

We ended our night by ordering dinner and watching an episode of Ozark.

It is becoming very real how close Charlie is to come home, we are weeks away!

I am so grateful for this next chapter on her recovery, we know it won’t be easy, but Charlie is strong and she will continue to make progress.
