Day 224 | APRIL 22, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 224 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day!

Charlie called this morning and got to see our boys before they head out to school, baby Julien gets cuter by the day 🙂

Today I stayed back home and I didn’t go to visit Charlie , I had to start to clear space for the furniture we are moving from our study, that space will become Charlie’s bedroom and the bathroom will be built into the garage, so our 2 car garage will become 1 to accommodate her bathroom on the main floor, we are doing the best possible adaptations but Charlie will only have access to our main floor, but not to the kids bedrooms, or our bedroom, neither the basement where the kids play area is.

We are just so grateful for your generosity, in full disclosure we will be using some of the funds donated via Go fund me and other fundraisers to pay for the house modifications, as you may know prices of materials are very high and this project will cost way more than anticipated, yes our insurance will pay for part of it, but state law has a cap on how much they have to pay and it not a lot 😞 , the difference is where your generosity will provide, thank you so much for all your generosity towards our family!

I am beyond excited to have this house ready to welcome Charlie home , to be home and with the boys will be just amazing for her spirits!

I am so grateful for the entire team at SAI, they are doing their best to support her transition home.

Yesterday Charlie baked her famous sunshine muffins!

She used those to London and he loved it! Now, Julien loves it too! Charlie will have to share the recipe, but I know they have apples, carrots, squash, and cinnamon. They are delicious!!

Charlie was so proud of herself! She was able to bake and even crack eggs on her own, it is amazing to see how much she can do with only her left hand! Charlie you are amazing!

She had a good day with PT and OT, her progress is evident on her dropped foot and it is great to see her improving.

Charlie had a dear friend visiting her today and she had such a good visit, she also is enjoying a little alone time this evening, and she needed that, Charlie is so loved that she has daily visits plus me, so it is a nice little break just to have 1 visitor today.

She also sent me this beautiful picture of her this morning. I have to say, she is more beautiful now than ever before, that is how I genuinely see my beautiful wife and love of my life!

Today, I thank God and you for his incredible gifts and blessings!

May God Bless You!

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
