Day 223 | APRIL 21, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 223 of our new and amazing life!

Wow! What a day!

Today I had a very important appointment at 8am, our incredible team of contractors came to our house to discuss the final details of our house modifications to accommodate Charlie:), to say that I was excited is an understatement.

Our GC is the kindest person and has moved several jobs to accommodate our very short timeframe, we are so grateful for their efforts in helping us get our home ready for Charlie.

We have an idea of a possible discharge date, so we must have our home ready for Charlie to come home.

Let’s pray that everything is lined up and we can get it done in time.

After lunch I made my way to see Charlie and when I arrived, she was so excited because today was the day, she got her hair done!!!

Her favorite hair stylist, the sweetest and talented person, drove all the way to SAI and treated Charlie for an incredible hair experience. She colored, washed, massaged, cut, and stitched Charlie’s hair.

It was so amazing to see Charlie being pampered and enjoying a little bit of comfort in the midst of so much pain.

The end result is below for you to see it! Charlie looks amazing! She looks so beautiful!! You will see the before and after.

Well, in the mist of so many exciting things, the catheter is still on hold, and they try a type of high absorption pad, we shall see how it goes.

Today was a day to be grateful, so many people offered us their time and talents, I am still in awe in front of so much generosity. I can’t ever thank everyone enough! Thank you so much!

Tonight, I continue to ask for your prayers and I thank you for your generosity and support.

May God bless You!

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
