Day 222 | APRIL 20, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 222 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day.

I had a busier work day today, and after lunch I made my way to see Charlie.

When I arrived Charlie was about finishing her wound care, but I got to see some of her open spots and they are starting to look better in my opinion, Charlie was a little concerned that her rehab doctor made a suggestion that she may need to return to a catheter, and Charlie really doesn’t want to do that, the reason been is, sometimes her urine does get into her wounds and it is causing irritation and delaying it’s healing.

They will try a couple more things before doing the catheter, let’s pray that won’t be necessary.

Today Charlie had great progress on her PT, she was able to remain in the standing position on her wheelchair for 45 minutes, a new record for her 🙂

Tomorrow is an exciting day for Charlie! She will be doing her OT at their kitchen, she will be making one of her muffins, Charlie is a wonderful baker, so she is very excited to re-learn how to bake, and in the late afternoon she will get her hair done 🙂 she is so excited!

Two of her friends visited today and they were so kind as to bring her Thai food for dinner and Cupcakes .

It is so great to see Charlie interact with her friends; she is so happy to see them.

I wish you a good night and May God Bless You!

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
