Day 202 | MARCH 31, 2022

Good evening, friends today is day 202 of our new and amazing life.

Today was a good day.

Charlie did call in at breakfast and London got to say hi to mommy before heading to school, he gets so excited when Charlie calls.

After a busy day with work, I made my way to Richmond under a tornado warning! The clouds were moving fast! Thank God nothing happened.

Charlie was very upbeat today; she was very busy but felt very accomplished.

She worked hard with PT, she did her usual foot drop reversal machine, but today they tried a new machine on her, with this machine she will start to work towards the goal of standing up on her own, she is not there yet, but the good news is she will start to work on that goal next week.

Charlie continues to improve her range of motion, but today, she felt very proud of her work. Charlie has asked for an assessment of her progress since arrival, I am very curious and excited to see the numbers once they do the assessment.

Today, I read the second chapter of our book to Charlie, and to see her reaction was priceless, she absolutely loves it! I could not have asked for better feedback, I can’t wait for you to read the book, I am now over 10k words and the story line is starting to take shape.

Today Charlie had her hand therapist working on her splints, so our visit was not just us, but we still had a great visit!

I also helped Charlie with her bionic splints, just incredible the technology on them.

Charlie was in a very good head space today, and I am so grateful for good days!

Towards the end of our visit, she told me why she was so happy! She was in her room waiting on her OT, and a few minutes went by, no one came, so she decided that she would clean up and organize her room! She was in her wheelchair and managed to pick up some papers, throw away a little trash and even added water to one of her plants!

She felt so independent and accomplished! That made me so happy! Charlie, every day you continue to amazes me.

We prayed and thanked God for his miracle and the blessings we continue to receive.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

May God Bless You!

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
