Day 200 | MARCH 29, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 200 of our new and amazing life!

It is hard to believe that we went through so much in the last 200 days!

I am also shocked that I have been writing this journal uninterrupted for this long!

I now look back and see how far we have come!

I can also say that we went through hell and back, and when I stop to think about this journey, all I can feel is gratitude and also sorrow, there is not a day that goes by where my mind wants to wonder back into the past, but my experienced heart knows better and brings the mind back into to the present, and that is where gratitude resides, right here at this very moment.

You may be wondering why did I decide to start today’s post with this deep mixed feelings paragraph, today I went into Patch ( our brewery where the accident happened) , I had a meeting with Charlie’s mom friends, they are part of the OFM ( one fit mother ), One of Charlie’s favorite activities, to work out with a incredible group of strong moms, and their kids , working out , outside on Parks, they are the group that started the incredible effort to support my family with all the love and resources that we needed the most.

So being there today, did stirred some emotions, and I am glad that it did, because it made me think about how much we have to be thankful for, but I would be lying if i did not recognize that it did bring me flashbacks of the accident, I truly have no words to express the feelings and thoughts that I felt today after I left Patch, I guess I just need more time to heal and that is ok.

Today Charlie and I had no visitors and it was nice to spend our time alone. Charlie had a very exciting day; she achieved a new record today!

Last week, she took 26 steps with assistance, this week she went on and took 65 steps with assistance, I was so proud of her!

For you to understand Charlie’s strength, she pushes through so much pain and never gives up, her ankles were bleeding after today's 65 steps, but that did not stop her from pushing hard to beat her last week record! She continues to inspire me, no matter the pain, she continues to overcome herself.

Charlie asked for one of her cravings, Sushi, she loved it and was very happy with her dinner.

We talked about the book. This week I should be receiving the next set of 10k words back from our editor, I am so excited to see what the next Chapters will bring.

I am so grateful to God; I am grateful for your continued love and support and prayers.

We have come very far, but this Journey is just starting.

May God Bless You!

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
