Day 197 | MARCH 26, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 197 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day.

Saturday is London’s favorite day; he always comes to our bedroom asking to watch Cartoons and he knows that only happens on Saturdays.

I had two work appointments this morning, and I was home by 11am, and we had such a fun day! Me and the boys 🙂

We played outside until the weather changed rapidly and it went from 58 degrees to 35 in about 20 minutes, and snow started to come down! It was wild!

Once inside we continued to play in their playroom, and it was the sweetest moment to see London teaching Julien on how to play with one of his toys. London is such a loving and caring big brother; he actually has a very similar personality to Charlie. Just loving, caring and super funny.

Talking about funny, today Charlie had another great friend visiting her, so when I arrived there, we had dinner together, and this friend is also very funny, Charlie and her had such a good time just catching up, they laughed and cried, but they also teamed up and had so much fun making fun of me 🙂, it was hilarious!!

Charlie had a good day, she was a little stiff but the weather change can also impact her RA, she still managed to work hard with her PT and OT therapists, Charlie continues to make progress.

Today for the first time since Charlie arrived at Sheltering Arms, she did not receive any cards in the mail. She asked, no cards today?

When I stopped to think about it, Charlie has been receiving cards in the mail, almost uninterrupted for the last 197 days! That is so amazing, and a testament of your love and support, that surpasses the virtual world and comes into her room in the form of a hand written card. Your messages have inspired and encouraged us beyond your imagination, for that we are grateful!

Please continue to pray for Charlie, she is making progress, but the journey is long.

Have a good night and May God bless you!

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
