Day 183 | MARCH 12, 2022

Good evening, Friends, today is day 183 of our new and amazing life!

Today I had a fantastic time with the boys and we played together. Baby Julien loves to play ball, I can see a future in baseball for him 🙂, the snow made it extra fun for London.

After lunch, I made my way to see Charlie and to my surprise she was already done with her shower and wound care, so we had more time to visit.

But today, I had a surprise for Charlie. Earlier this morning, her best friend from childhood called me and told me that she would be driving from Georgia to see Charlie, so she arrived around 5pm, and surprised Charlie! It was amazing! Charlie’s face was priceless, she had no idea that she was coming, and she was so surprised!

It was so good to see Charlie and her friend, just catching up, and I haven’t seen Charlie laugh so hard since before the accident! It warmed my heart to see her so happy and entertained.

I can only imagine that after 6 months of just visiting with me, a change was more than welcome!

Charlie had PT in the morning and she also told me that her leg skin grafts are healing and she is making good progress.

Charlie now has new foot braces, to really help with her drop foot.

Charlie continues to receive your cards, and today she received a huge basket of fruits and treats from a family member, thank you so much!!

Tomorrow, I will have my first official day off from visiting Charlie. I have mixed emotions about that, but I am so excited for Charlie to spend some time with her girlfriends! She needs some girl time and I also need more time with the boys 🙂, so let’s see how I will deal with being away from Charlie tomorrow.
