Day 175 | MARCH 04, 2022
Good Evening friends, today is day 175 of our new and amazing new life.
I had a beyond busy morning today, meetings from 9am until 1:30pm, I continue to write our book, I am now working on chapter 3 🙂.
After a quick lunch , I made my way to SAI. When I arrived, Charlie was having a shower and her wound care session would start after that, so I took advantage and met with one of Charlie’s therapists and we went over the 3D scan of our house.
Well, today we received some good and bad news, let’s start with the good.
Charlie doesn’t have any bone fusion, which is very good news.
The bad or actually not good bad, is that Charlie knees are very damaged, she has no cartilage left, and the damage was caused by her RA( rheumatoid arthritis) , since she could not take any of her RA medication since the accident, the RA was free to attack, and it did caused the damage on both of charlie knees 😞
Yes, Charlie has a bigger challenge to regain her mobility, unlike a person without RA, physiotherapy alone won’t be enough to help her to regain her mobility, she will need surgical intervention, we are still waiting on a second opinion, but for now that is what we know .
Charlie received the news, and she remained positive and strong, she is determined to overcome any and all obstacles.
She continues to inspire me. I was concerned about this possible outcome, but I am very proud to see how she reacted to it.
I asked God to continue to give strength to us, it is an unknown future ahead in regards to Charlie mobility, but do we continue to keep our faith? And with your prayers , we will overcome all the difficulties ahead of us.
Thank you for your cards and flowers, they are starting to arrive 🙂, so I learned that the issue with potted plants is the soil on them. They allow fresh flowers.
I apologize for the delay in today’s post, I spent a little more time with Charlie tonight.
Have a good night, and thank you for your continued support.
