Day 172 | MARCH 01, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 172 of our new and amazing life!

Wow! What a day!!

Yes, the day has arrived! Charlie has left the hospital!

The day we dreamed about and it was just amazing to see her leaving the hospital after almost 6 months!

It was a day filled with emotions, loss of gratitude, happiness, a little fear, nervousness, all mixed together, as I write this post, I am emotionally drained .

I do feel a huge sense of accomplishment for Charlie, she has overcome the first chapter of this life long Journey , yes Charlie Journey has truly just started, now we embark on the second chapter, in my opinion a more difficult one, and you may wonder , how can it be more difficult than fighting to stay alive, well her fight now is with herself and pain, she has a incredible adversary to face, herself.

Charlie is aware and that makes her nervous about her stay at SAI ( sheltering arms institute) .

We arrived at the hospital promptly at 2pm, and around 2:25p, Charlie came by on her way to the medical transport ambulance, there she was greeted by myself, my mother and London and Julien 🙂 , yes, we were allowed a 15 minutes quick stop by visit outside.

It was magical to see Charlie light up with Joy, she was so happy and excited to be able to touch and smell her boys for the first time since the accident!! London was so sweet and kind, he really loved to see his mom , when time came for baby Julien, he was too overwhelmed with so many people around us, the noises of ambulances, that he was a little shy, he was a little scared and did not wanted to leave my arms, Charlie was able to hold him briefly, but that made her a little sad, she feared that he didn’t recognized her 😞.

We had a second chance of a quick hello at SAI. Once we got there , a group of our incredible friends were there in full on Costumes, it was so much love! When Charlie arrived, she was soon surprised by her welcome committee:) It was just amazing to see her light up again with Join to see her friends, once again the boys hugged and kissed mommy, Julien slowly warmed up and towards the end he did reach Charlie and her mommy heart was warm and happy once again.

This shorty hello was bitter sweet, it did have her incredible joy, but also caused incredible pain, once again she is away from her kids and she won’t see them now until she comes home .

I am just so grateful for all the love and support received today, Charlie was very happy to see you ladies !!

I am sorry for this short post, I am just so tired today.

I will be making an announcement about the blog tomorrow, but rest assured , you will want to continue to follow Charlie’s Journey, amazing things are in the works !
