Day 163 | FEBRUARY 20, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 163 of our new and amazing new life !

Sunday is consistently good for us.

Today I went to Mass and it was a good reminder of my human nature, on today's Gospel, Jesus teaches to his disciples to forgive and love their enemies, this is one of the most difficult teaching of the Catholic faith, how can we love the ones that hate us , how can we forgive the ones that have caused us harm? I think we can only do that with God’s Grace, otherwise it is humanly impossible!

After Church, I had a quick lunch and made my way to see Charlie!

I was so excited to see her today! I knew that she had moved rooms in the morning, and when I got there, it was so strange to not go down the hallway into the ICU rooms, her new room is just by the end of the hallway before the ICU area.

To my surprise, Charlie had no monitors connected to her, no more beeping sounds !!

This new room is much more welcoming, it has an actual door, instead of the glass box she was in before , and it has a bathroom with a shower!!!

Yes! Tomorrow she will have her first shower since the accident, and she is really looking forward to it, but she is also nervous because she has been warned that it may be painful:(

Today was also the first time since the accident that I was able to touch her without gloves! It was an amazing feeling to actually feel the warmth of her hands and I just felt such joy to be able to touch charlie with my own skin, it was a very special moment.

Her new room has a great view of Richmond! I even took a picture to share with you !

Charlie is in very good spirits and we are so grateful for her nurses today for making her move possible!

So, here are my thoughts on yesterday's question, is Pain and Suffering interconnected?

I believe that we can’t control Pain, we can’t avoid pain either , but we can have some control on suffering, I think they are not interconnected, here is a good example on how Pain can exist without suffering:

The miracle of childbirth, one of the most painful experiences and only a woman can endure, no man could ever handle the pain of childbirth!

After a lot of pain , the mother almost instantly becomes joyful once she sees her child and holds her baby, there is no suffering at that moment of pain!

Yes, it is possible to experience Pain without Suffering!

Thank you for your continued love and prayers!

May God Bless You

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
