Day 150 | FEBRUARY 07, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 150 of our new and amazing life!

As usual I made my way to the hospital after lunch and lately I have been bringing Charlie food from home, my mom is making her favorite Brazilian dishes. Charlie loves it!

When I arrived, she was working with her PT team, and she was very tired. They are now working with her to build up her strength to be able to do the 3 hours of PT a day required at the rehabilitation.

Even after a hard PT session, Charlie still went into her chair, since it is good for her lungs.

Today Charlie was a little more quiet, she is getting used to less medication, since the goal is to have her off any IV medication before she is discharged into Rehabilitation.

She was also a little emotional, today during her wound care, Charlie looked at her body and she cried, she expressed how sad it is to look at her body and see her new body , she has the absolute right to be sad and to mourn the loss of her body , it will be a very hard and long journey until she can really Accept her new body, I assured her that it is ok to be sad, and that I am there for her.

One of the nurses told her that it is indeed hard, but to always remember, for 1 bad thing, there is 2 good things, your face was not burned and you have your feet and hands 🙂

Charlie agreed and was able to console herself for that moment.

We watched a light romance comedy movie and that helped her spirits, The book of love on Amazon prime.

I continue to work on the book. I am so grateful for the inspiration that I am having to write this incredible story !

Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

May God Bless You!

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
