Day 146 | FEBRUARY 03, 2022
Good Evening Friends, today is day 146 of our new and amazing life.
Today was a good day
I went to the hospital after lunch and when I got there Charlie was working with her PT and OT therapists, She did very well today, she was able to once again sit on the edge of the bed and move from side to side, a good progress from the day before, her pain is at a comfort level, I believe that she had the RA flare up , since she felt better after 72 hours .
Charlie was in a very good mood today, we joked around and talked about the book, and she decided that she wanted to call London and talk with him.
She called and London was so excited to see mommy, Charlie asked about his day, his school, and she also did a little parenting moment when she questioned him why he went to the thinking chair yesterday at school.
London at first tried to change the subject, but at the end he ended up telling mommy the truth about why he got into trouble, Charlie in a loving and caring way explained to him that he should listen to his teacher and be kind to his friends.
Today around 6 PM I got really hungry and asked Charlie are you up to eat dinner from Panera bread? Charlie said yes and I went downstairs and got two delicious sandwiches for us. It was the first time we had dinner together in her room, it was a special moment:)
Today the hospital was supposed to start the process to remove Charlie's tracheostomy , but to no surprise it did not happen:(
As usual the miscommunication got in the way, the ICU team asked the Burn team to do it, Burn team asked who placed the tracheostomy, after some time, they found out that the Trauma did the procedure , so now the Trauma team will have to remove it.
Tomorrow Charlie has a mission to follow up with the Trauma team. I told her to make sure she gets it done before 3pm, since tomorrow is Friday, and nothing happens after 3pm on Friday!!
Early on this journey, I would be very upset and frustrated with this situation, now I have learned to only focus on what I can control.
May God Bless You.
Thank you for all your prayers and support!
