Day 142 | JANUARY 30, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 142, of our new and amazing life!

Sunday still my favorite day, the day I normally attend Mass, but not today 😞

Last night, I was working on the book outline until 4am!! So of course I was very tired and did not go to Church. I know God knows my heart and I am ok missing Church today .

So, since I had a late start this morning, I missed breakfast with the boys and my mom. When I came down it was lunch time.

I ate lunch and made my way to see Charlie , when I got there she had finished her lunch and was waiting for me.

Charlie was a little more sleep today and the reason is pain, she was in more pain today, since the doctors suspended one of her pain meds , Lidocaine since her blood had a increased level of it, so tomorrow they will revisit ( one of my biggest frustration about hospitals is that nothing happens on the weekends) they have to wait until Monday to replace the medication.

Besides the pain Charlie was kind and graceful as always, just a little quiet. We chatted for a little bit, and we decided to watch a movie to just distract her from the pain. We watched The Silencing on Amazon prime.

After the movie was almost time to come home, on the weekends I try to come home earlier to help my mom with the boys' bed time .

London was so sweet as I read him a book about planes and I did read in Portuguese and English, he is starting to enjoy speaking Portuguese more and more. I am so proud of him !

Today was a good day!

Please continue to pray for Charlie , Tuesday is a big day !

Thank you for your words of support towards the book, I am grateful for your encouragement.

May God Bless You .

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
