Day 129 | JANUARY 17, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 129 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day !

I was able to make my way to see Charlie, roads were very clear and Richmond almost had no snow .

London had so much fun outside playing on the snow today, while I removed the snow from our driveway.

Charlie is doing well, today she had a full body wound care and a very intense PT session, Charlie felt a little frustrated during her PT session, she told me that her PT therapist always bring new exercises and Charlie today was not able to perform one of the new exercise, she was frustrated because she was not able to perform the task perfectly.

I reminded her of our conversation weeks ago, I told her that she would need to let her perfectionism outside of the rehabilitation, she can’t expect to excel in every situation during her rehabilitation, she needs to focus in doing the best she can at that moment and not worry about what anyone is going to think of her ability to do or not the exercise, if she continues to try to be perfect, she will be frustrated and anxious, and she doesn’t need of those negative feelings, she needs to become vulnerable and accept her effort, she will be free the moment she accepts that her best effort at that moment is the only thing she is required to do, there is no expectations to be fulfilled, no one is expecting anything, just her best effort.

Charlie has a huge challenge ahead of her at rehabilitation, I kindly ask you to please pray for Charlie to let it go of her perfectionism, and to become vulnerable.

Even after getting a little frustrated , Charlie did very well on her PT session and is making very good progress!

We talked about how much she enjoyed seeing the boys over video yesterday, in particular seeing baby Julien eating lunch. She loved it so much !

Charlie is counting the days until her last surgery and then rehab!

Today I brought her some delicious dinner from CAVA! She was so happy:)

Can I please ask you to invite your friends and family to this group? We need to share Charlie’s miraculous recovery and story with more people! Thank you for your continued support and prayers!

May God Bless You !

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
