Day 122 | JANUARY 10, 2022

Good Evening Friends, today is day 122 of our new and amazing life!

Today was a good day!

I arrived at the hospital around 2:45pm and Charlie was already in her Chair and PT had worked with her. She was in a good mood, she is improving her pain levels and overall clinical stats are doing very well.

We had a great conversation today about how much this journey has changed us. It was actually an emotional exchange , since we both cried as I asked Charlie, I really would like to know , how did you survive the accident?

What were you thinking as you were on fire ?

With tears rolling down her cheeks , and looking into my eyes she said “ I survived for you !

For our boys! “ she had such a passion in her voice, she also said, “ as I rolled on the ground, I kept repeating, God, please don’t let me die, over and over until she was no longer on fire”!

Charlie is certain that her faith and trust in God was the reason why she survived the accident!

She asked me to please not wait until a tragedy happens to have a relationship with God, now is the perfect time to start, because when something like this happens, you want to know how nothing is impossible for God!

I told her that what saved her was her Love! Her Love for God, her Love for me and the boys ! Love is the only way to describe this journey !

Your love towards our family is something that we will never forget! You carried us over when we needed it the most ! We are forever grateful!

I am beyond excited to let you know that Charlie’s final CEA surgery has been tentatively scheduled for January 25th!

Yes! This is the final surgery to do the touch ups on her CEA grafts, and very shortly after this surgery is done, Charlie will be discharged to her next stop, the rehabilitation!

Yes my friends, our hospital Journey has its days counted ! We have nothing but gratitude! We can’t wait to start our next phase on this Journey!

Charlie has asked me to consider the idea of writing a book. She read two of my posts and said, this is just incredible and your words did speak to my soul!

She said, I know you couldn’t write before, but now , I can’t believe how powerful your words are !

I am so humbled, and grateful for God's grace when I am writing, I truly never intend to be a writer, or to inspire anyone, this new life is truly amazing!

Well, a Charlie request is an order for me

Stay tuned , I am going to start to look into the idea of writing a book, I would appreciate any feedback. I am not a writer and I have no knowledge of the publishing industry. This is the first time I am talking about this public for the first time , since I now have Charlie's support and desire for her story to be told via my point of view.

I would like to humbly ask you two questions:

1- do you think we should write a book ?

2-would you buy the book ? ( proceeds to be donated )

The only goal I would have if a book came out of this, is to spread Charlie’s message of Love and faith, as far as possible .

Thank you for letting me know your opinion.

May God Bless You.

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
