Day 116 | JANUARY 04, 2022
Good Evening Friends, today is day 116 of our new and amazing life!
Today I woke up well rested. After a fun day in the snow, since we had no power in the house , we went to bed early, around 7:15pm , so this morning I was refreshed!
Charlie went to the OR at 10 am today, and she was there until 2:30pm. They did full body wound care and got her CEA grafts down to the vail, and she had a 70% take on her legs and feet, and her legs are healing very well.
Today for the first time , her doctor gave us an idea of when we can expect a possible transfer to the rehabilitation center
I will wait until a few weeks to have a more accurate idea of the date, but I am now very confident that Charlie may be home for her birthday in June.I am beyond grateful and excited for the next few weeks so we will know for sure her discharge date from the hospital!
I am still in a little bit of disbelief that we actually talked with her doctor about a concrete timeline of her discharge, it is an incredible feeling!
I am very grateful so far on this journey, today was a special day, I met with Max dad , and I am humbled by his strength, I will ask for prayers for little Max and his family, they asked for privacy so we must respect their wishes , and we will give them the space they asked for, there will be no updates at this time , they are so appreciative of all the help and support received so far.
It is amazing how much I have learned and evolved so far on this journey, I am so humbled, and the most valuable lesson I have learned so far is how to have empathy! It is a blessing to be able to help and care for others.
Today was a blessed day.
May God Bless You !
André
