Day 104 | DECEMBER 23, 2021

Good Evening Friends, today is day 104 of our new and amazing life.

Today my schedule was a little different, since I had to take the boys to their annual pediatric appointment, I went to visit Charlie in the morning, I was there from 11:40a until 2:40pm, a short visit but is always great to see Charlie , she was in good spirits and we looked over the boys birthday pictures:), thank you Aaron Watson Photography, they look so amazing and Charlie was so grateful!

Charlie was working with the Hand therapist today, and she got more splints made for her elbows as well, we talked about Christmas and how much she will miss the boys, but she also is so grateful that next year she will be home for Christmas and it will be extra special !

Tomorrow Charlie will have a visit to the OR to replace the allografts in her legs and prepare the wound bed, for her CEA surgery and m 12/28, tomorrow surgery is a little shorter but still important and equally risk since it always involves general anesthesia, please pray for a successful surgery tomorrow.

Our boys are super healthy and up to date with their vaccinations, I am very grateful for the health of our boys.

I was thinking today as I drove back from Richmond, how on this new life, I have learned to really appreciate and take full advantage of every moment, this is how we create memories, this is how we can learn or teach lessons, when we are able to really be present and appreciate each moment in our day, it is almost if time slows down. I now can look back on my own life and see how many incredible moments I missed for just not being present, I was so distracted, I am grateful for now being able to be aware of moments in my day.

Since I visited Charlie in the morning, I called around 5pm for an update, and her nurse called me back on Charlie’s phone and we did a video call with the boys, it was so magic to see Charlie’s face light up , when she saw baby Julien smile at her , and how much joy she felt when London told her all about his fun day.

It was a perfect ending to this blessed day!

May God Bless You!

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
