Day 09 | SEPTEMBER 19, 2021
Good evening Friends, Day 9 of our new life .
Today was a good day !
I arrived at the hospital today right at 8am, and I was able to get in there right in time for the ICU doctors morning walk, so I was able to speak with the doctor in charge that day, about Charlie’s pain management and I was able to get him onboard to reduce her opioids intake and also to remove her from the ventilator:), he was taken back by that request, but he took some time to review her chest x Ray, asked the nurse about her levels and he said , well if you think she can do , I will have to agree since her lungs looked great! Let’s see how she does, well Charlie has been off the ventilator since 10am this morning:) She is breathing on her own ! Thank you God!!
By not being intubated she no longer needs sedatives. Once again I was able to communicate with her and she was able to follow doctors commands during her wound care routine today. Charlie is incredible and she is breaking all records !!
They never I mean never seen a 85% 3rd degree patient, be off the ventilator before 2 months ! Charlie is a living miracle and I am so humbled and honored to be a witness of it!
I don’t think I have begun to understand how incredible Charlie’s miracle is, she is such an inspiration on how to accept pain and suffering and not lose hope. She is in good spirits once again today!
For the first time she was able to see and tell her Surgeon Thank you ! And she had the biggest smile !
I am so thankful for today, I could not take a moment to Thank you all once again ! The GoFundMe campaign is just incredible! Thank you for your love and kindness towards our family!
