Day 07 | SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

Good evening Friends, it is hard to believe but we have made it to the 1st week of our new life !

There is no question that Charlie's survival to this point is nothing short of a miracle ! She is amazing and I am so thankful to have her alive and with us ! Thank you God!

So, today she underwent her 7th Surgery, they re-worked her legs. She is doing extremely well under her circumstances, I was told today by one nurse that it has been years since they have had a patient with such severe burns like Charlie to have survived the past 4 days! So Charlie is about to make history

Charlie remains stable, no fever, no blood pressure meds and doing good.

This weekend she has no scheduled surgeries, so I am going there in the morning (her request) and I will spend all day and all night (until 8:30 pm) and I will be staying at a hotel very near the hospital and Sunday after Mass, I will visit her again for the entire day! I am beyond excited to spend time with her and I hope she is less sedated and able to better engage .

Charlie is in high spirits, she is being her funny self, she is aware of what has happened and I can’t wait for the day she can talk again! It is coming but it is going to take a while .

Please continue to pray for our family, and thank you for your amazing generosity, love and support. I could not have done this far without all of you! Thank you!

Today baby Julien turned 9 months.

Sorry for the late post, I decided that Vovo and I need to sit down and have dinner together like we used to before the accident.

Good Night and God Bless You !

André

Cheering on Charlie.

On Friday, September 10th, Charlie Anne Xavier was in a horrific and life-changing accident. Though she’s surprising her doctors and nurses daily with her incredible strength and resilience, this road to recovery will be an incredibly long one.
